Meet the team

proactive 6

Katy McIntosh - Clinical Manager/Clinical Specialist Prosthetist

Godalming Clinic

proactive 6

Katy has worked as a prosthetist for 10 years. Prior to joining Proactive, she was responsible for managing an experienced prosthetic team within the NHS in her role as Clinical Lead Prosthetist. In this post, she had the privilege of working with a broad range of clients with complex needs and varying levels of limb loss/difference

As an active person, Katy understands the importance of working collaboratively towards goals that clients have to maximize their outcomes. She always put the patient first in my clinical work and loves to think outside of the box with new and existing technologies to problem-solve any ideas or challenges that each unique person brings.

Katy’s favourite part of her role is working with different people to find out about them, working together to problem solve and get them back working towards their individual goals. Seeing people come back and having continuity of care is really important and very rewarding to her, and she loves hearing what people have been up to between visits!

Katy loves being outdoors. Cycling, hiking, circuits, paddleboarding or even just a Sunday dog walk!. She is also a keen netballer and enjoys attempting new recipes in the kitchen.  She would describe herself as enthusiastic, empathetic and calm.
