GB Paralympic Team selection announced
Congratulations to our supported athletes, Sophie Kamlish, Stef Reid, Richard Whitehead and Jonnie Peacock on their selection to represent GB at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
It has been a privilege to work with these exceptional athletes who have shown determination and resilience to reach their goals in what has been a very challenging time.
This year selection for the games has been very difficult due to the restricted number of places in the team, which makes their achievements even greater.
We will continue to support them all the way to Tokyo 2020 and in Tokyo where Richard Nieveen will be Team Prosthetist in the GB Paralympic team.
We will continue to update you on their preparations and performance on our website and via social media.
Covid-19 Update
Covid-19 Precautionary Measures from 19th July 2021
Following the announcement by the government that England will move to the final stage of easing Covid-19 restrictions on July 19th 2021, we have carried out a risk assessment of the situation at our clinic and decided in the interests of our patients, visitors and team that we will continue with some precautionary procedures, as detailed in this link.
It is our view that although legal restrictions will end and the risk of serious illness is lower due to the vaccination programme, the prevalence of virus is high, as is the risk of transmission. To mitigate this we have decided it is sensible to continue with precautions to prevent transmission and to reduce the chance of our facilities needing to close if the whole team are required to self isolate.
These procedures will be reviewed regularly and updated in accordance with Government and WHO advice.
